Tiny House Boutique Origin Story

The heart behind The Tiny House Boutique began taking shape when I was just 8 years old. As a little girl growing up in a family of 11, raised by a fiercely determined single mother, I learned early what it meant to work with your hands, make something beautiful out of very little, and to always finish what you start. One of my earliest memories is helping my mother sand down her thrift store finds—she’d hand me a piece, show me how to do it right, and then carefully inspect it when I was done. Those moments shaped me.

My mother was resourceful, wise, and full of grit. She taught me not only how to stretch what we had, but how to transform it—how to see potential where others might not. From her, I learned to thrift, to upcycle, and most importantly, to share what I’ve learned. Her example instilled in me a desire to pass on that same empowerment and encouragement to others.

They say, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” That principle is the foundation of everything I do. After years of selling resale items independently and at local spots around Seguin, Texas, I knew it was time to grow—not just in business, but in purpose.

Today, The Tiny House Boutique is more than just a shop. It’s a place where curated, affordable finds meet creativity, restoration, and intention. Beyond resale, I now offer services and events designed to help people bring peace, order, and warmth into their lives.

Now, I’m so grateful to have two amazing people by my side helping make this dream a reality. With our diverse mix of skills, expertise, and ambition, we’re ready to make an even greater impact here in the Seguin community and beyond. 

Through the boutique, ministry, and tiny events, we aim to help others make their house a home and find alignment in their everyday lives—just as we’ve learned to do through our own journey.
